A free and independent media is the lifeblood of any vital democracy. Ensuring that journalists can report and work independently is crucial.

Tyrannical regimes fear free press; probably than anything. The Ethiopian tyrannical regime’s decision to rescind the Publisher’s media license is another attack on freedom of the press. It is a shortsighted knee jerk reaction of the nervous and increasingly dictatorial regime led by Abiy Ahemd. No suppression of freedom saves the tyrannical regime from its inevitable demise.
