According to a reliable source, an Oromo student, who was beaten by the Ethiopian Federal security forces (known as Agazi) at the Haromaya University’s protest against the Addis Ababa Master Plan, died at the University’s clinic from complications of the wound. This brings the death toll of the protest at Haromaya to four, based on media reports. The students were protesting against the Addis Ababa Master Plan, whose goal, they say, is to expand the City of Addis Ababa by many folds by evicting Oromo farmers from their land around the City of Addis Ababa in Oromiyaa.
