From the very beginning, what was supposed to be the major part of the equation was not defeating TPLF but convincing it to seat to the table and help on transforming the country. All political parties were supposed to be treated the same way.
We all know that TPLF attacked the Ethiopian defense force North Command. We were so upset and condemned this with strongest words our minds can remember or know. Those who arranged and executed the attack were highly decorated military officers and reputable civilian leaders. So, there should be some really serious and strong reason to force the TPLF officials to go that far. We can’t just simplify these serious issues and bring them down to greed for power and resources. There must be some really strong reasons for the move. So, WHAT ARE THOSE REASONS? The Ethiopian public should not be fooled by the one sided story of the PP that talks about greed for power and wealth.
No one can convince me by telling me false and baseless allegations ( that the PP and its surrogates echo day in and day out ) that reputable personalities such as Siyum Mesfin and Tsadikan GebreTinsae leave the government at old age and go to the bush to fight the government to secure power and wealth. Not at all! These individuals have no financial problems. They can gracefully retire and enjoy what they saved. It is not about greed for power and wealth!
There were/ are profound political reasons that forced the TPLF to raise arms against the government. There should be! What is the mischief? What is the deception? What is the fear? What was the plot?
